Cissi & Nour and Lill-Babs on the new stage at Kulturen

Cissi & Nour and Lill-Babs on the new stage at Kulturen

A crowded program of 45 acts during five days were presented at the new stage at Kulturen, which is a collaboration between Stockholm Pride and the National theatre. Lill-Babs, the counter tenor Nuri Harun from Istanbul and the comedian star Cissi & Nour together with the musician Maud Lindström were some of the main attractions.

-For many years we have worked with developing the park's range. Before EuroPride we have ventured on buildning new stages, it feels good that the National theatre is interested in colaborating with us, says Alf Kjeller, the activity leader for Pride Park.

Pride Park even has a Writerstage this year and the Little Pride, the children's area, is growing.

-There is always something to see and do when the Park has opened, Don´t miss our workshop where you can do your own t-shirt, go on grafitti workshop, embroider and do your own pussy in the muff workshop, tells Björn Kvarnestam, part time project leader for activities in Pride Park.

Apart from guest dj:s such as Tiina Rosenberg, Suzanne Osten and Mian Lodalen, a series of conversations are presented under the headline "Drink coffee with", where you amongst all can take a coffee with Johan Hilton and Mattias Brun to hear more about the performance No tears for queers that the National Theatre and the Regional Theatre from West are puting up next year. The National Theatere will have a vehicle in the Pride Parade on Saturday.

-The programme on the culture stage has just been multicolored and straggling as we hoped for. Pride is a given event for us to take part in, here we have many common denominators, for exmaple the enjoymeant and society influence. Both Pride and the National theatere are built on engagement from ideal and active volunteers, says Joakim Rindå from the National Theatre that has made the range together with Stockholm Pride.

Pride Park in Tantolunden at Södermalm opens on the 30th of July and this year the Park is filled with four stages, four restarurants and about 80 exhibitions. Stockholm EuroPride is being celebrated from the 25th of July untill the 3rd of August. The festival is being inaugurated on the 25th with a Pride song on Skansen, at the same time we start the 3 days long Pride Queer Film festival in Studio 3 and the Klaracinema. On the 28th -1 August, Pride House is being open at the Culture House and the Stockholm City Theater and on the 2nd of August the Pride Parade goes through Stockholm. More information
