Success in Pride House

8/1/2008

Over 10.000 people have visited Pride House each day since Monday, when it opened in the new premises at Kulturhuset and Stockholms stadsteater. The 280 items on the programme have been very popular and a satisfied and happy manager summarises the week.
- There’s been a soft atmosphere, people have been happy and we are very satisfied with everything, says Reb Kerstinsdotter, Pride House manager.

Today’s discussion about filth and sin, with Tiina Rosenberg and Annika Lantz, filled the big stage’s 580 seats. Helena Sandström and Moa Svan with the play ”Kiss my plush” have performed to full houses for three days, and hundreds of visitors have been denied admission due to lack of seats. According to a highly un-scientific survey, the most appreciated lecture was one about clitoris sex. Last day in Pride House, Detektivbyrån will perform on the roof of Kulturhuset and the archbishop Anders Wejryd will be the opening speaker in a panel discussion about LGBT and religion
- We have never had these large numbers of visitors in the end of July in previous years. We are happy that so many people have discovered our great house and Pride House that’s been using the house from basement to roof, says Eric Sjöström, manager of Kulturhuset.
