10 days of EuroPride in beautiful Stockholm
EuroPride 2008 takes place in Stockholm. To celebrate this exceptional event, the festival extends to 10 days instead of one week. The theme of the 2008 edition is “Swedish Sin, Breaking Borders” with a focus on international LGBT issues and a special focus on Eastern Europe. From 25 July through 3 August, the capital of Sweden will rock along the particular mood of the festival; a light-hearted and cultural mood oscillating between festivities and political debates. This year, the festival will be bigger than ever.
Stockholm Pride, the most visited festival in Scandinavia
Stockholm Pride 2007 was, so far, the most successful edition in the festival’s history. Stockholm Pride has grown to be the most visited festival of the Scandinavian countries. In 1998, Stockholm hosted EuroPride for the first time. A decade later, the “Northern Venice” is once again hosting this international event, declining the grace of its harbours to the colours of the rainbow.
Enjoying the athmosphere of EuroPride is of course free of charge. However, should you desire to access Pride House or Pride Park, you need to buy an entrance ticket. It is up to you to choose between a one-day ticket and a pass for the duration of the entire festival. For some events outside these areas you also get a discount for admission with your weekly pass at hand. You also get a discounted price for the special Europride edition of the Stockholm card.

It is in your own interest to buy your ticket as soon as possible so you won't miss out on all the fun! Tickets are available on ticnet.se, the price of a week pass is SEK 800 for adults and 600 SEK for youth (15-17 years old) as well as for pensioners.
Stockholm Pride has the tradition of asking an artist or group to create a Pride song for the festival. The exceptional circumstances of EuroPride 2008 motivated a choice just as exceptional: B.W.O.! This glamorous dancemusic trio has previously performed at Stockholm Pride in 2005 and 2007. Their official Europride anthem is named "Bells of Freedom" and is part of their latest album Pandemonium. B.W.O will perform live in Pride Park during the festival.
