Kulturhuset - in the city centre!

Workshops. Politics. Art. Discussions. Ideas. Pride House can be seen as the candy bag of the Pride festival. With a mixed blend, we offer something for everyone!

This year Pride House we will be in Statsteaterns and Kulturhuset premises at Sergels torg, in the very heart of Stockholm. Monday July 28 through Friday 1 August, there will be events every day betwenn 12h00 and 18h00.

The activities at the theatre are already fully booked. Alle Eriksson, project manager for the stage programme, says:
-- We have a wide selection of foreign artists, but, of course, the Swedish artists are not forgotten.

Humour and HIV

Helena Sand and Moa Svahn will perform a humouros performance. Other booked scene performances are Femme-cabaret, Theatre Academy, ÖFA-Class and Silent Theatre.

The Pride House manager Reb Kerstindotter says that this year's House program involves many deep political issues.
-- Trade union issues and party politics at the EU level will be discussed. There are also many items about HIV and sexually transmitted infections on the programme - which is a major issue right now, Reb says.

Scouts, Bibles and dildokubb

Transgender issues and sex are given considerable scope in this year's program at Pride House. Scouts, science, bibles and queers will be in Pride House. One of the two project managers for seminars and debates, Eddie Summanen, reveals:
-- We will run dildokubben again this year. It was a great success last year and now we will have more chances to throw dildos!
