In a corner of Pride Park, you find four red tents from the Social democratic party. What are they up to during the week?
In one of the social democratic tents in Pride Park we find Stefan Runfeldt who explains what he and his comrades are doin in the park. Different parts of the social democratic movement cooperate and have four tents together. In one of them they will have a series of seminars during the week.
– One seminar that we will be hosting is about the heterosexual norm at universities, says Stefan, who also tells us about some tricks to lure visitors into the tents to begin with:
– We will try to have a button making machine here, and a Singstar and maybe a Guitar Hero. Then we grab the opportunity to pour information over our visitors!
A special condom has been designed for the occasion as well, with the words "Känn sossen i dig" (Feel the social democrat in you). That is not because they don't want social democrats to multiply, but rather to promote sexual health among the visitors.
– We want fewer social democrats to get STDs, and of course that goes for conservatives and others as well, explains Stefan.
The time is half past one; the park is about to open, and Stefan will soon find out if the tents will become the success that he and his friends hope for.
