Hard work but lots of fun!

Actor Emil Almén once said "No women - no Sweden". Stockholm Pride may well say "No volunteers - no Pride". We met a few volunteers who contribute to the festival.
Hanna is building the booth where tickets and wristbands will be sold. She is working at the cashier's desk and this is her first year as volunteer and visitor at Stockholm Pride.
- I've just turned 18 so this is the first year I've been able to volunteer for Pride.
Josefin and Markus, two other volunteers joins her for a photograph. They are working in the security department and this is their first year too, both as volunteers and visitors. Even if it's early in the week I still want to ask them if they are having fun.
- Lots of fun! Quite chaotic and stressful but I really recommend volunteering.
Patrik is in the driver's seat of a lorry, he is in charge of transports and this his tenth year at Pride. He was considering a sabbatical this year but when Pride was on the phone asking if he wanted to help out he changed his mind.
- It's fun because everyone here come from such different backgrounds, he says.
- Pride couldn't exist without it's volunteers, says 1st vice chairperson Anna Fock. When speaking at the opening ceremony she gave the volunteers a loud applause.
If you are interested in volunteering for Stockholm Pride, keep an eye on our website. Information is posted there when it's time to register for nest year's Pride. Yours truly agrees! It's great to be a volunteer at Pride!
