Canine fashionistas in Pride Garden

Pride Garden was filled with organic materials, knitted couture and sober colours when four-legged canine fashionistas invaded central Stockholm on Wednesday.
A large crowd of curious and fashion interested dog owners had gathered on Wednesday afternoon in Kungsträdgården when Stockholm Hundungdom (Young Dog owners in Stockholm) showed Kraft och Kultur's dog clothes
together with their dogs. The four-legged models trotted on a custom-built catwalk in mostly sombre, stylistic knitted sweaters, but every now and then a bright coloured t-shirt or leash made its way onto the catwalk. All the garments had in common that they were made out of organic materials, and the compere informed the audience that a share of the event sales surplus will go to charity, such as saving endangered animals.
Fighting backstage
It is not immediately clear whether the dogs themselves were interested in fashion, but they wagged their tails and looked happy during their few minutes in the limeligt. Agitated barks echoed from the backstage area, every now and then, but whether it was nerves that made the dogs irritable and aggressive, or if this was simply a case of friendly canine mingle is a question perhaps only a dog expert could provide an answer to.
