Political sin, builds up boarders
The professor, culturecritic and paperpublisher puts the question about what is wrong with Swedish LGBT politics. In the broad paneldebate the answers are trowling between the rightparties unequitable politics, and a inability for the lefties to take the discussion.
On Klaras small stage led by Sofia Sjöö, the ex president of Stockholm Pride, a voluminous gang sits down in a small group of sofas. Tiina Rosenberg, professor in gendersciencve, Stefan Johnsson, culturecritic in DN (Daily News) and Rebecca Selberg, responsible publisher for the newspaper Mana, changes eachother with on English dividing of the broad problem in the Society that obstructs LGBT-development.
-Our praxis and our laws are carried of a socialdemocratic society, that no longer exists. Also that the left has been forced into a corner where their retorics forces a normthinking, says Tina Rosenberg, professor in genderscience.
Hard debate without conflicts
Up on the stage the conflict is enlighted with its abstence, it´s not a lot of debate and argueing.
-We apologize for not agreeing says Rebecca Selberg smiling.
Stefan Jonsson, the culturecritic on the Daily News, is worried about the changes that have been missed and the ones that have failed to been notice.
-In 2006 we had the chance to change a lot, a state committee come forward to that radical changes have to be taken: integration was not the answer. Instead we ended up on the same way as the Danish people where we try to force the majorityculture on everyone, says Stefan Jonsson and rubs himself on the forehead.
Problemise
The tune was heavy on the small stage, Tina, Rebecca and Stefan did not hesitate to problemise the conceptions.
-Which men should women be equal to, who is the benchmark? We are both feminists, but we can have totally different visions over how society should look like, Tina Rosenberg points out and continues at once;
-All different discriminations and social movements originate in very deep social questions. It is the political basic values, between right and left, that stops them to go in the same direction, says Tina Rosenberg.
Old right and left politics
The expositions keep on going and are spinning out to different areas. The debaters point out the increasingly market controlled society like one of the thiefs to the increasing structural discrimination. But everything is not only about which colour the sitting government has, says Stefan Johnsson.
-The lefties and the socialdemocrates did not succeed to reach the discrimination that is stuck in the walls.
Rebecca Selberg brings upp the comersialsation of the Pride festival and the entire LGBT-world, she means that we got to broaden our solidarity as it was expressed in the 60´s and 70´s.
-We take happily money from Volvo even if their treatment of the fabricemployees in Mexico is bad, our solidarity is so small regarding that. We have to put the oppressors against the wall everywhere, says Rebecca Selberg with emphasis.
Insufficient solidarity
Stefan and Tina are nodding Is there solidarity between highly payed gay men and lesbians in the inner cities and the others solidarity, the anti discrimination movements? The marketeconomy capitalizes on the LGBT-culture
, the things that call are:
-Dubbel salaries, no children, says Tina Rosenberg.
The structured is the focus, that is built-in, the basic questions and the problems.
-The etnocentrism is worse in Sweden than in many other countries. You have a small definition of razism that you never understand that there are many levels of oppression existing, says Rebecca Selberg.
Stefan Johnsson hook un to the wire.
-It has been a new pseudoreligios ritualisation of “Swedish Nationality” trough the entering in EU, for example on the football-EM. It´s build on the heteronormativity.
