The lecturers Lilaa and Marika come from RFSU and work politically to remove the association between fetischism and sadomasochism with it being a sickness. Today, Wednesday, they were at Pride House to educate beginners about BDSM *)
- We are very grateful for the space that we are getting at EuroPride, BDSM is definitely a LGBT question, Marika says.
The room is filled and the audience is engaged in the topic, ask questions and create vivid discussions. According to the presenters BDSM is very individual. It can be a way of life, a sexual orientation, an interest, a spice in the bedroom or something that you do only once. You might want to do it only in group, on your own, on the internet or in pairs. The interest and the approach on BDSM can really develop and change, they conclude.
Discussions regarding whether something such as "normal sex" and "non-normal sex" acutally exists, about role play, a feministic perspective and more are raised and a lot of people are interested in participating and argue.
Marika and Lilaa talk very personal about different strands and ways within BDSM from their own experience, whips, ropes, hands, body weight and straps made out of liquorice. But what they foremost claim is that it is up to everyone to decide what BDSM is.
