A seminar about the union's policies concerning discrimination in the working place due to one's sexual prefences or gender identity.
LO (a union) has earlier produced policy document "Union feminism" about womens' and mens' conditions in working life and in society. Now LO and the LO associated unions are taking another step for the struggle for a discrimination free and just working life, with focus on everyone equal value.
Common for all forms of discrimination in the work area and in society is that there is a cemented norm which means that people are given different calues - and can therefore risk to be treated unjustly in relation to what is the norm. In our society today heterosexuality is a tradtionally gender bound norm. This isd the reason for unjust and discriminatory factors against the LGBT community.
We will discuss how the union tries to minimise discrimination in the work place. Has the union enough knowledge in their organisation to deal with these questions? What is the union's role and what is the responsibility of the employer? How should the union act and react when discrimination is presented?

80–100 seats. Entrance on the third floor, elevator. The World Café is an open café environment with a slightly elevated stage.
