The organization's solidarity work

The Stockholm Pride organization wishes to help Pride organizations in other countries to carry out events, and therefore we work with international solidarity.

To have economic funds available for support, we have Stockholm Pride's international solidarity fund since 2006. This fund is based on allocated incomes, such as sales of the Pride song record and sales of photo publishing rights. In addition there's also donations and some fund from certain fundraisings.

Decisions over support from Stockholm Pride's international solidarity fund are taken by the organization board.

So far the organization's solidarity fund has been able to give economical support to:

Year 2000 – Minsk Pride in Belarus

Our contribution to the Pride celebration in Minsk made it possible to even carry out this first manifestation.

Year 2002 – LGBTH conferens in Stockholm, arranged by RFSL.

Year 2003 – Women's conference and Pride in Moldavia

Year 2004 – The Expo organization ant Pride celebrations in the Baltic region

Year 2006 – Warszaw Pride

Year 2007 – Riga Pride

Hopefully we will be able to support many more in the future!
