Recommendations for journalists
Stockholm Pride is an oasis for the LGBT community. Many of our visitors are not open about their sexual orientation or their gender identity. To keep Stockholm Pride an open festival for diversity, there are som things we want our accreditated journalists to keep in mind.
Interviews
- When interviewing a person, inform where and when the interview will or might be published.
- Don't take a persons sexual orientation or gender identity for granted. Do not describe a person you've been interviewing as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, man or a woman, unless that person has defined themselves that way.
Photographing or filming
- If you take a photo of or film someone, where the person can be identified, the person must give its clear consent!
- General panoramas, where individuals can't be identified, are okay.
Safety in front of the scene
- Only photographers with a special accreditation have access to the area in front of the scene.
- Photograhpers must obey instructions given by the safety staff when residing in the photography area in front of the scene.
- Photographers must leave the photography area in front of the scene if the safety staff say so.
- No equipment can be placed on the stairs at the riot barrier. Neither is it allowed to sit on these stairs.
Please observe! If the safety recommendations in front of the stage aren't followed, safety staff, the Park Manager or press & media staff have the authority to deprive the admission ticket for the week and the accreditation.
