Plenty of Artists at Schlager Night
On Thursday evening, Anne-Lie Rydé and Schlagerfeber will guide you through a Stockholm Pride classic, the Schlager Night, which this year presents a mix of established artists as well as rising stars and Eurovision favourites. Schlager party is about to happen in Pride Park!
Schlager Night continues to renew and reinvent itself. For the first time, the evening is made up of two sections, with different hosts. The more traditional first section, which is presented by Swedish artist Anne-Lie Rydé, includes a number of guests who together cover thirty years of Melodifestivalen history, from 1968 to 1998. The second section is presented by Schlagerfeber, and focus will be on contemporary artists, such as Safura, Hera Björk, Jenny Silver, NEO and Hanna Lindblad, as well as a number of surprises, from international guests and winners of Melodifestivalen to comebacks and veterans.
- It is exciting that Schlager Night renews itself after so many years, and that the sections have different themes, says Pär Wiktorsson, chairperson of Stockholm Pride. I am convinced that visitors will find many favourites among the twenty-odd artists who will enter the stage during the evening.
In the break between the two sections, the audience will be entertained by Hallå Hela Pressen. Those who arrive early to Pride Park will be entertained by cabaret troupe Milda Makter's show Schlagerlager, and Andres Esteche's audio combo. The night ends with dazzling schlager disco with DJ Kim Bauer.
As previous years, Schlager Night 2010 will be remembered as one of the most exciting events of Stockholm Pride.
