The hugely popular and awarded singer and songwriter Marit Bergman has accepted the honorful mission to write and perform this year's official song for Stockholm Pride. See and hear her at the opening ceremony (27/7) and twice in Pride Park (29/7, 1/8)!

– The heterosexual norm is something that should be analyzed and questioned. I think it's important and good that Stockholm Pride works from that angle in this year's festival theme, Marit says.

– This is a huge honor and I never thought that Stockholm Pride would ask me. Now they did, and it makes me incredibly happy! The thought is to make a party song that will have to do with exclusion.

Marit Bergman was born in the Swedish town of Rättvik in 1975. She has been recording music since the mid 1990s and has enjoyed a massive success in Sweden during the last seven years or so. Among her hits you can find songs like "Out On The Piers", "Adios Amigos", "This Is The Year" and her Kleerup collaboration "3 AM".

Previous artists that have done the Pride song include Alcazar, Nina & Kim, Cissi Ramsby, Jonas Hedquist and Christer Björkman (with Shirley Clamp and Rikard Engfors).
